GCSE Results Day 2006

Pupils at Hereford Cathedral School have again achieved excellent results at GCSE. All pupils achieved at least 5 GCSEs graded A* to C. Boys and girls did equally well with a quarter of the year achieving the equivalent of straight A* or A grades. Nearly half of all the GCSEs grades achieved were either an ‘A*’ or ‘A’.

Head of House congratulates pupilsAs well as these outstanding year 11 results, we are delighted with the outstanding success of those Year 10 pupils who sat their GCSE Mathematic early; all 24 candidates achieved at least a grade A, with a staggering 19 pupils achieving A* grades. In addition pupil Jack Cox, also gained an A grade in AS Mathematics. Amazingly, Mr Jonathan Priday, the pupils’ teacher was himself a scholar of mathematics and a former pupil of Hereford Cathedral School.
