Students from Hereford Cathedral School go through their paces in rehearsal for their performance.Hereford Cathedral School’s growing reputation for Drama and the Arts took another boost this week when thirty-three students performed at the Shakespeare Schools Festival at the Malvern Theatre.

The budding actors joined fellow thespians from schools all around the counties of Hereford and Worcester. Following weeks of work in the school’s Powell Theatre in the centre of Hereford, the cast from Years 8 to 10 made their way to Malvern for a day of intensive rehearsal before performing “As You Like It” to a packed audience on Tuesday evening.

Head of Drama at HCS, Lucy Zammit, praised the youngsters, saying “the energy and sheer quality of the performance is a credit to the students and their enthusiasm for bringing Shakespeare to life.
